In honor of the UN designated “World Refugee Day” on June 20th, the Fukuoka Bar Association is launching a free legal counseling campaign. During June (6/2 (Mon.)~6/30 (Mon.), the association offers foreigners free consultations with lawyers. There are two categories; The first is for immigration detainees, who can request consultation via application form. In cooperation with the Fukuoka Immigration Office, lawyers will be called out to the office to give applicants free legal advice. Interpreters available if needed. The second category is for those living in Fukuoka needing legal advice. Call 092-737-7555 between 10:00~16:00 on weekdays (Chinese avail. 10:00~12:00 on 6/13, 6/27, English avail. 10:00~12:00 6/27) to request an appointment.
