World Swim Championships Rake in 710 Million Yen

The organizing committee for the World Aquatics Championships held in Fukuoka from July 14 to 30 announced that the event drew a total of 135,907 spectators. Including athletes, volunteers, and other attendees, the total number of visitors reached 302,946. When combined with the Masters event that took place from August 2 to 11, the total attendance was 468,652, which fell within the pre-event estimate of 400,000 to 500,000 people. The revenue from ticket sales amounted to 710 million yen. The World Aquatics Championships saw a total of 16,398 participants from 191 countries and regions, while the Masters event had 36,678 participants from 77 countries and regions. Source: Nikkei
