Yanagawa High School announced it would accept about ten students from Ukraine. Taking advantage of its international course for exchange students, the school will provide special Japanese education to those students before they begin classes on other subjects. Dormitories, textbooks, and school uniforms will be provided free of charge. While efforts to provide education to Ukraine evacuees have spread among universities and colleges across Japan, such initiatives for high school students aged 15 and 18 are much less common.
