Young People Flocking to Aeon Malls on Days Off

The Kyushu Economic Research Center has conducted an internet survey of 900, 18~29 year olds, living in the eight prefectural capitals of Kyushu and Okinawa, and in Shimonoseki City,Yamaguchi, and Kitakyushu City. The survey was asking which facility or shop do they often visit on their days off. Respondents answered between three and ten shops or facilities. In all cities except Nagasaki, Saga and Oita, Aeon Malls received the most responses. The biggest share was in Miyazaki where the largest Aeon Mall in Kyushu is located. 79.3% of those surveyed often visit an Aeon Mall on their days off. The top response in Nagasaki was Amu Plaza in JR Nagasaki Station. Saga City’s top was Yume Town and Park Place Oita topped Oita’s responses.
