Event 1 ::: Saturday, April 14- Thai Songkran Festival at Raan Gaan Een
Celebrate Songkran Festival- the Thai lunar New Year’s event- with a traditional water fight here in Fukuoka! On Apr. 14 (Sat.) between 19:00~24:00, Thai restaurant Raan Gaan Een will celebrate the lunar new year with a water fight on the streets of Daimyo! The restaurant’s Songkran Festival event also includes a special menu at Raan Gaan Een, with ¥4,000 getting you all-you-can-eat Thai food, and all-you-can-drink too! Event 2 ::: Saturday, April 14 – H&M and F21 Opening
Fukuoka’s new H&M and Forever 21 stores will launch April 14! The new “Tenjin Nishidori Square” building will be home to both of the popular international fashion brands- H&M from Sweden and F21 from Los Angeles, USA. The building, which is approx. 7,910 square meters, was completed in just 15 days and is five stories high with two basement levels. The launch will mark Kyushu’s first Forever 21 store, and second H&M store (the first opened last Sep. at Canal City, Hakata).

Event 3 ::: Sunday, April 15 –Baishaki Mela 2012
Come celebrate the Bangladeshi and Nepalese New Year “Baishakhi Mela”, on Apr. 15 (Sun.) in Tenjin Central Park!  The event is organized as a collaboration between various Bangladesh and Nepal associations in Fukuoka, and will include cultural demonstrations from both countries, along with an array of delicious foods to try! The event runs from 10:30~16:00. See more here.

Event 4 ::: Monday, April 16~ Islamic Week & Food Festival 2012
Kyushu University Muslim Student Association will hold the fourth annual Islamic Week & Food Festival at the Ito Campus of Kyushu University, from Apr. 16~21. Try some delicious Halal cuisine, or see the many attractions, including a Masjid corner, Islamic dress, Islamic calligraphy display, photo contest and essay contest. The event runs for six days, see here for schedule.
