Nishitetsu will install surveillance cameras inside train cars on the Omuta Line from Mar. 23. According to the company, the new project aims to bolster safety by discouraging (as well as providing evidence) of illegal or criminal activities on the trains. Four cameras will be introduced on each car with stickers to indicate that the safety cameras are in use. Introduction of the cameras will start on the seven newest cars and will expand to 30 more cars in fiscal year 2019. Source: Nishitetsu Group, 3/12/2019
