Koshiwara, located in the Toho-mura district of Fukuoka Prefecture, is surrounded by beautiful nature and is famous for its ceramic kilns and artists. Fifty kilns participate in this festival where you browse and shop for items reduced in price by 20% or more. Rhododendron and azaleas are usually in bloom too! Join a ceramics cup painting workshop (¥500, 50 ppl/day, and ceramics plate painting workshop (¥1,000, 50 ppl/day, first come, first served), or a tea ceremony workshop (only 5/3 10:00~16:00, ¥220 entry fee).
