800 Chinese to Study Fukuoka City Hall

Fukuoka City Mayor, Soichiro Takashima, announced July 3 that Fukuoka City will accept 800 Chinese public servants to study Fukuoka City’s waste processing, water treatment and desalination plants and the way Fukuoka deals with an aging population. Each person will stay three weeks costing the Chinese government ¥660,000. It is the first time this has been accepted in Japan in a regional area.
