FJ hotels announced on June 8 that the Hyatt Regency Fukuoka hotel will be closed in May 2019 and will reopen in winter 2019 under a different brand. The new brand will be a premium specialized hotel with all facilities renewed. The plans for renovation include converting two rooms into one large room and building rooms that are over 50 m2. It is hoped that the new facilities will be able to facilitate various needs of travelers. Ryu Kosaka, the creative director of design company A.N.D., will be responsible for the interior design of this brand new hotel. He stated that it is his pleasure to be in charge of the new design as he was greatly inspired by Michael Graves, the interior designer of Hyatt Regency Fukuoka, during his studies. The new hotel interior design will follow the post-modern style in a fresh and playful way. Source: Hyatt Regency Fukuoka, 6/8/2018
