Kyushu Pollen Forecast 2017

Fukuoka peak pollen season is coming soon. The pollen mostly comes from Japanese cedars (sugi) and Japanese cypress (hinoki). The season starts at the end of February and goes to mid March. This year’s pollen count is expected to be much higher than last years with a relative increase of 150~200%. The pollen season for the rest of Kyushu will start around the beginning of March. The above graphic shows the relative increase in pollen count from this time last year. Source: Tenki.jp, 2/14
