Nishitetsu Participates in Light Down Campaign 2016

The Nishitetsu Group has announced that they are once again participating in the Light Down Campaign (which started in 2003). To reduce their carbon dioxide emissions, Nishitetsu will be turning off certain lights in 17 locations (mainly focused in Tenjin, but there are participating facilities in other parts of Fukuoka Prefecture, and within the Kanto and Kansai areas). The campaign runs from Jun. 21 (Summer Solstice Light Down Day) to Jul. 7 (Tanabata Light Down Day/Cool Earth Day) (times vary depending on the facility, some facilities will only participate on certain dates). Here are some of the participating facilities in Fukuoka City on Jun. 21 and on Jul. 7:
• Solaria Plaza Bldg.: all outdoor lights, 21:00~24:00
• Solaria Stage Bldg.: all outdoor lights on east side (excluding Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station and Nishitetsu Tenjin Highway Bus Terminal signs), 20:30~24:00
• Solaria Terminal Bldg.: south (neon lights), east (outdoor and neon lights) and west (neon lights) sides, 20:30~24:00
