Yamato Starts Bus Delivery Service in Depopulated Areas

Delivery company Yamato Unyu started a new delivery service using city busses in the Higashimera, Saito City, and Nishimera Village, Miyazaki Prefecture, where an aging population is resulting in depopulation. Part of the bus seating space can be turned into space for parcels and packages. Written on the outside of the bus are the words ‘hito mono hakobu ecology bus’ (ecology bus carrying passengers and parcels). Source: Yamato Holdings Jan. 16, 2017
