Fukuoka Prefecture conducted flight training with newly introduced high-performance drones on May 28 to enhance disaster response during the rainy season. The drones, with 2-meter wingspans and speeds up to 100 km/h, captured aerial images over a 6 km route in Asakura’s Otoshikawa area, which were streamed live to prefectural offices. Deployed across four civil engineering offices, the drones will be used alongside others tailored for complex terrain to aid evacuation and damage assessment. Source: KBC
