Live@Museum is a free weekly live music series held every Friday evening at the Art Café inside the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum. Showcasing a diverse range of artists from Japan and across Asia, the event features performances spanning music, dance, and traditional performing arts in an open, public space.

On November 21, the Imazu Ningyo Shibai Preservation Society will present a traditional puppet theater performance. Originating in the Edo period as a way to guide and educate young people, this form of puppet jōruri has been passed down through generations and is now recognized as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Fukuoka Prefecture. Audiences will have the rare opportunity to experience this historic art form brought to life on stage.

Fukuoka Asian Art Museum

The Fukuoka Asian Art Museum is the only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to modern and contemporary Asian art. Its Art Café offers access to a collection of 10,000 books on Asian art and travel, available to browse with drinks in hand.
