Hakataza in Fukuoka City will close for more than a year from June 2029 for a major renovation planned as the theater approaches its 30th anniversary. Operated by a third-sector entity, the venue will undergo upgrades to stage elevators, set-lift systems, lighting and audio equipment, and interior areas.
