Saga Bank announced plans to construct an 11-story mixed-use building in central Kitakyushu with support from the city government. The project will be built on the former site of the bank’s Kokura branch in Kokura Kita Ward and is scheduled for completion in August next year. The complex, named the “Sagin Kitakyushu Building,” will feature retail space on the first floor, a bank branch on the second, and rental offices on floors three through eleven, with a total floor area of about 5,500 square meters. Kitakyushu City will provide subsidies of up to ¥1 billion under its Kokura–Kurosaki Revitalization program, which promotes redevelopment through financial incentives and regulatory support. The project is the third building to receive assistance under the initiative. Source: NHK News / Saga Bank / Kitakyushu City
