Fukuoka Art Biennale 2026 brings together art, flower arranging and the tea ceremony at Fukuoka Art Museum and Ohori Park Japanese Garden. Members from across the Fukuoka Cultural Federation, including its tea ceremony and flower arranging groups, take part. Ikebana arrangements from different schools will be displayed in the garden throughout the event.
Tea ceremonies and incense appreciation sessions will be held at the garden’s Tea Ceremony Hall. At the tea sessions, visitors can enjoy a bowl of tea while admiring utensils selected by federation members. The incense sessions offer an introduction to Japan’s incense culture through quietly appreciating the fragrances of aromatic woods.
As the autumn leaves turn, the garden offers a setting to enjoy flowers, tea and fragrance—a chance to experience Japan’s seasonal traditions at a relaxed pace in the city.
