Canadian Minister Visits Fukuoka

Robert Derouin, Minister and Deputy Head of Mission at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo was in Fukuoka earlier this week and appeared in this morning’s Nishinippon Newspaper. In the article the Minister outlines the upcoming “Fukuoka Canada Day” party in Fukuoka which is scheduled for Sat., June 30 at Hotel Il Palazzo. The event will feature Canadian food including Canadian lobster, beef, pork, beer, maple syrup and poutine. Last year nearly 800 attended and this year the event’s organizer, Fukuoka Now expects about 1,000! Everyone is welcome to join. Tickets are ¥1,500 and available only at the door.
