A spring tradition in Iizuka, a city that began as a post town and later thrived as a coal mining center. Centered around the Former Ito Den’emon Residence, 16 venues across the city feature elaborately arranged hina doll displays.

At the Former Ito Den’emon Residence, one of Japan’s largest tatami hina displays spans a 20-mat room under the theme “The Enchanted Beauty of Japan’s Folktales.” On weekends and holidays, the residence and garden are illuminated from 17:30 to 21:00, with bamboo lanterns and lighting offering a different ambiance from the daytime.
