Flamenco, football and a good ol’ fashioned fiesta. The 3rd annual Fiesta de Espana invites you to party away the peak of summer with a celebration of Spanish food, dance, fashion, handicrafts, and sport. Why not take a sultry spin to the guitar-playing of Daniel Rico? Or try the tipple of a bonafide venenciador (a bartender who can pour sherry out of teensy-weensy jug on the end of a very long stick – it takes strength and precision to avoid pouring sherry over the customers’ shoes!)? The Balsa Football Club will also be performing, ready to inspire a new generation of David Villas. But perhaps the most unique point of this festival is the Spain-inspired yatai – a true infusion of Fukuoka style and Spanish food. So join the hispanophiles of Fukuoka as they revel in the culture famous for throwing great parties.
