“Umakamon” is a term from the Hakata dialect meaning delicious food. True to its name, at this festival, you can discover 56 of Fukuoka’s most delectable, fresh, and popular local “umakamon” delicacies! The event offers “Photogenic Sweets,” which are visually appealing treats themed on strawberries and cherry blossoms, as well as anpan (sweet bean buns) created in collaboration between Suzukake, a renowned Japanese confectionery, and Painstock, a popular bakery. Additionally, numerous products can be enjoyed at the eat-in area, including a daily 11:00 AM spice curry and special lunch boxes crafted by “Yamasue” featuring Itoshima cod roe.
