Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Fukuoka Citizens’ Arts Festival—a vibrant gathering where people, community, and the arts unite. Established in 1964 alongside the opening of the Fukuoka Civic Hall, this annual autumn festival offers an impressive line-up of over 100 diverse events throughout the city. Premium Live: “Art in the Twilight”
For the 60th opening of the festival, the theme is “The Present Connecting Past and Future.” As evening sets in, attendees can enjoy a performance that brings together humans, nature, and music.
The evening’s acts include an acoustic set from the sibling duo ‘baobab,’ featuring Matsumoto Miku, who also crafts early musical instruments, and Maika. Also on the agenda is ‘Rue de Valse,’ offering waltz rhythms through accordion and guitar. The lineup is rounded out by ‘Rhythm Society,’ a jazz research group from Kyushu University with a membership of 80. The event aims to provide a fulfilling experience through both sound and visuals.

Create, Dance, and Mesmerize with the Condors: FaN Fun Project
Join the acclaimed contemporary dance troupe, the Condors, for a community art project like no other! Known for their electrifying performances featuring a mix of dance, live music, puppetry, and visual art, the Condors have graced stages in over 30 countries. Now, they’re inviting local residents to participate in a series of workshops where they’ll craft a dance performance over five days, all set in a space filled with various forms of art.
The final presentation of these community-crafted dances will take place in select venues around Fukuoka City, as part of the city’s art-focused “FaN Week” celebrations. Locations include the Fukuoka Art Museum, Artist Cafe Fukuoka, and the Fukuoka Castle Ruins.

Additionally, gospel music appropriate for the Christmas season will be performed.
