Step into the expansive Ashiya Air Base, covering an area equivalent to about 92 Tokyo Domes, and immerse yourself in the world of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) at their annual aviation festival held every autumn. The event offers an inside look at aircrafts stationed at Ashiya Base, as well as fighter jets flown in from other bases for the occasion. Visitors can also explore various JASDF equipment on display.
This year’s festival will feature an extra layer of excitement with an aerobatic performance by the Blue Impulse, Japan’s renowned air demonstration team. Additionally, a “fancy drill” is planned, showcasing air force students performing various maneuvers with rifles, a symbol of military honor.
