Celebrate the Bounty of Autumn at Torikai Hachimangu Shrine’s Food Festival: This year, the festival takes a “bird” theme, featuring 17 vendors who are related to birds in various ways—be it serving dishes made with chicken like yakitori, karaage, and jerk chicken, or simply because the owner was born in the Year of the Rooster or the shop’s name has a bird in it.
In addition to delicious gourmet options, the festival will also offer free servings of whole roasted wild boar on the 3rd and 5th! But it’s not just about the food—there will also be traditional Japanese festival games like superball scooping and ring tossing for kids to enjoy. Come for the food, stay for the fun, and enjoy this festival that’s as rich in flavors as it is in culture!
