The world’s premier outdoor film festival, held annually in Banff, Canada, has introduced the wonders of outdoor sports, the natural environment, and mountain culture through documentary films since its inception in 1976. The award-winning films are selected from more than 350 submissions worldwide, and a selection of those films are screened in 304 cities in 50 countries as part of the World Tour. In Fukuoka, eight short films will be screened on the themes of mountain climbing, skiing, kayaking, mountain biking, and environmental issues. Fukuoka and Toyama are the only two cities in Japan to host the festival.
