To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Fukuoka City and Bordeaux, France, an event will be held to enjoy rare Bordeaux wines and contemporary art together. For ¥1,000, participants will be able to sample five glasses of wine from seven different Bordeaux wines with snacks. A limited number of glasses with the sister city’s 40th anniversary logo will be given away. During the FaN Week event (until 10/10), art works by “Hakata painter Oszal,” an artist from Fukuoka City, will also be on display.
The venue, Au Bord d’Eau Fukuoka, is the third wine bar in the world to be officially recognized by the Bordeaux Wine Commission (CIVB: Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux), following New York, USA and Shanghai, China.
