Landscape artist Chihiro Miyata, known for capturing the essence of Itoshima, will be holding a solo exhibition in a historic building known as “Kozai no Mori (Former Nishihara Residence),” located in the Maebaru shopping district. Dubbed the “Impressionist Exhibition,” this annual event has been taking place since 2018 and will feature approximately 30 pieces, primarily new works, available for viewing and purchase. The art focuses on the natural landscapes of Itoshima and the light inherent in nature. The scenes captured are somehow nostalgic and are expected to evoke a sense of Itoshima that is even more authentic than photographs.
