A full-day event to consider Fukuoka’s city life’s sustainability takes place inside the Manu Coffee shop on November 28. It introduces guests to C’s Up (collaboratively run by Manu Coffee and Local Food Cycling,) which aims to create better flows of materials within the urban town. Carrots grown using used coffee grounds from Manu Coffee shops will be served to guests as gajar halwa, an Indian carrot-based sweet. Besides a special workshop by Local Food Cycling and vegetable and other food product sales, the event will also sell compost bags suitable for kitchen gardens.
