DRANK Japan Tour 2026: Live in Fukuoka
Austrian experimental music duo DRANK comes to Fukuoka as part of its first Japan tour. Featuring Ingrid Schmoliner on prepared piano and Alex Kranabetter on trumpet and electronics, the duo has been active in Austria’s improvised and experimental music scenes for more than a decade.
Schmoliner explores the acoustic possibilities of the piano, creating unusual textures, resonances, and spatial effects, while Kranabetter uses electronics to transform and expand the sound of his trumpet. Together, they create an adventurous mix of improvisation, experimental sound, and avant-garde jazz. A rare opportunity for Fukuoka audiences to experience two distinctive musicians from Austria’s contemporary music scene.
