For 18 days, the city will be flooded with art, and FaN Week will begin in Fukuoka City. During the period, in addition to the Fukuoka City Art Museum and Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, art will appear at temples and shrines in the Hakata Old Town, and on walls of construction sites in Tenjin 1-chome and Hakata Ekimae 3-chome, among other locations. The opening on Friday the 23rd (national holiday) will feature live painting by Fukuoka-based artist Gin Soda (scheduled for 11:00-11:30) and an art marché at the approach plaza of the Fukuoka Art Museum, where art works will be displayed and sold.
