Datenojuyaku is the first kabuki of the year at Hakataza. Somegoro Ichikawa plays ten characters – good, evil, men and women, in a story of a retainer who aims to take his owner’s position. 40 costume changes by Ichikawa and acrobatic performances are expected as well.
