HUG (Hafu Union Guild) aims to bring together young adults of mixed nationality from across Kyushu, and to hold activities and discussions which help them seek ways to better their lives (in the job market, for example). At this event, HUG will be showing the film Hafu, a documentary which follows the lives of five young people of mixed nationality, and the animation Bino & Fino, an animation for young children created to help counteract negative stereotyping of African people – it will be submitted to the Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2016. After both films have been screened, a panel discussion will take place. Everyone is welcome, whether you are of mixed nationality or not. There are three free space rooms for families with young children. This event is co-sponsored by the English Literature Department of Seinan University.
