Fukuoka Art Book Fair is an event that explores the current landscape of publishing and creative expression through art books and zines. Now in its third edition, it brings together around 100 participants from Japan and abroad, including publishers, artists, designers, and bookstores, each presenting their own perspective on the appeal of books.
In addition to exhibitions, the venue hosts talks, workshops, radio broadcasts, and live performances. Visitors can also enjoy coffee, lemonade, and curry while browsing. Highlights include “BOOK?” by a Singapore-based design unit and a reading room featuring zines by independent publishers from across Asia. Collaborative programs with bookstores, galleries, and eateries across Fukuoka City further extend the event, offering opportunities to engage with local art, culture, music, and food.
