Fukuoka Art Museum announced the outline of its first special exhibition after its current renovation. From the museum’s extensive collection of 16,000 items that were accumulated over 40 years, approximately 250 pieces including pieces by Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, and Andy Warhol will be on display. In addition to this largest-scale exhibition of the museum’s collection, a London-based artist, Yinka Shonibare CBE’s first solo exhibition in Japan will be another must-see at this event. His new artwork with sakura motif will be premiered.
