Enjoy a picnic under the cherry blossoms at the historic Fukuoka Castle Ruins, which boast over 1,000 sakura trees (19 varieties). During this festival, stalls sell tasty treats and the sakura along the castle walls are illuminated at night; and, on weekends, some of the ruins’ roped-off areas are open to the public.
