Set in Fukuoka Castle and Maizuru Park, the “Fukuoka Lights Festival” offers an immersive night-time experience blending history and technology under the theme “Past and Future.” Historical elements like a sacred tree and castle gates are digitally recreated. At Shiomi Yagura, restored in March 2025, a light show combines lasers and projection mapping. Visitors can explore mirror-enhanced wisteria trellises and illuminated gates with lanterns. From 17:00, a night market featuring food and culture lines the park’s weeping cherry tree path.
