From July 11 (Tuesday) to August 11 (Friday), coinciding with the World Aquatics Championships, Fukuoka Tower will welcome visitors with a special lighting display.
Standing at an impressive height of 234 meters, Fukuoka Tower, the tallest seaside tower in Japan, is a cherished landmark of Fukuoka. It is well-known for its thematic lighting that alters with the season or event. During the “World Aquatics Championships – Fukuoka 2023,” the tower will showcase a special lighting pattern featuring a dolphin – the mascot of the World Aquatics Championships – swimming, and various national flags appearing one after the other. Although the lighting display can be appreciated from the outside, the observatory located at the top of the tower, 123 meters above ground, provides a 360-degree panoramic view of Fukuoka city and Hakata Bay.
