The Kenjo Dochu celebrates Hakata-ori, used to make obi (traditional belts) and one of Japan’s finest textiles. The procession is led by Hakata Geigi (geisha). Expect men holding lanterns, women in formal kimono and traditional music played on the shamisen (lute) and fue (flute). It’s the perfect place to wear a kimono!
