A flea market with over 200 stalls lines the approach to Hakozaki Shrine, stretching straight toward the sea. Held once a month (except September and January), it is one of the largest markets in western Japan, with vendors opening gradually from around 07:00.
The market features a wide range of items, including antiques, ceramics, household goods, and vintage pieces suitable for everyday use. Browsing while chatting with stallholders is part of the experience. Payment methods vary by vendor, so bringing small change and ¥1,000 notes is recommended.
By around 08:00, most stalls are open, making an early visit ideal for finding the best items. It’s also well suited to combine with a visit to Hakozaki Shrine or a stroll through the surrounding area.
