Hasami ware, known for its simple and modern design suitable for everyday use, is produced through a division of labor system within the region, with the entire community collaborating in the creation of products. The annual spring pottery festival in Hasami, the home of Hasami ware, takes place at the Yakimono Park Plaza. Approximately 150 manufacturers and kilns set up shop, offering a diverse range of ceramics, from everyday items to traditional works, all at local prices. Workshops such as pottery wheel demonstrations, casting, and painting are also available. Shuttle buses run every 15 minutes from the nearest JR Arita Station to the venue, starting at 8:40 a.m. (¥500 / unlimited rides with a boarding pass, free for high school students and younger).
