Hiraodai Picnic Concert 2014

Come celebrate the summer season with a live music performance in Hiraodai. The Hiraodai Limestone Plateau in Kitakyushu is Japan’s representative karst plateau (a landscape formed from the dissolution of soluble rocks), offering fantastic views of white limestone scattered on the green fields. This year’s main act is “Ichimujin”, the first Japanese classical guitar duo to successfully go on a US tour. Their popularity in Japan soared when their song featured as the ending theme of 2010 NHK drama “Ryomaden”. Besides their original songs, Ichimujin will play covers of “Jonetsu-tairiku” by Taro Hakase, and “Let It Go” from Disney film Frozen. Don’t miss their very first live show in Kyushu! This is an outdoor “picnic” concert so bring your favorite sandwiches and a smoothie or even some wine to have while sitting down to a musical Sunday brunch! Coffee stand and food vendors on-site.
