Hokkaido Food Fair in Hakata Hankyu

This event showcases some of the most popular food items produced in Hokkaido, an area of Japan known for its beautiful nature. About 45 stalls will display a wide variety of foods and beverages, some of which are making their first appearance in Kyushu! Products to look out for include a sweet & sour, light purple-hued soft ice cream and smoothies made with blue honeysuckle, a clear blue “Abashiri near-beer drift ice draft” made with drift ice from the Sea of Okhotsk, fresh, deluxe seafood bowls filled with huge botan shrimps and salmon roe, and a selection of flavored butters made with ingredients such as sea urchin and horseradish. Apart from shopping, you can also eat-in at the venue to try Hokkaido’s dairy products, crab, shrimp, and sea urchin.

Blue honeysuckle smoothie and blue honeysuckle yogurt soft cream, sweets made with the characteristic acidity and high nutritional value of the blue honeysuckle.

Corn cream croquettes made with cream cheese from Hokkaido. The richness of the cream cheese and the sweetness of the corn are a great combination!

Deluxe! This gorgeous seafood bowl is made with six varieties of seafood, including large botan shrimps and cod roe.

A melon baum brulee made with melon juice cream from Furano City.

This “Abashiri near-beer drift ice draft” is bright blue, as the drift ice it was made with.
