Enjoy Japanese New Year this year with friends and family at Hotel Okura Fukuoka! It’s an ideal way for non-Japanese to partake in many traditional activities and taste seasonal foods too! From noon, watch an exciting performance of speedy mochi-tsuki (rice pounding) you can taste the mochi rice cakes later too! As for foods, of course ozoni (New Year’s soup) will be offered as well as a special roast beef rice bowl, pork cutlet sandwiches, and a sweets buffet. Craft beer from Hotel Okura’s very own brewery will be available. Champagne too! For fun there will be a shooting game, ring toss, arcade games, stage performances, and a bingo game at 14:00.
