Ian Hall, an Itoshima-based photographer and former yacht racing champion, found his passion in photography after a fateful encounter with a camera in New York. While making his mark in the fashion industry, he embarked on a photographic journey. His latest exhibition, ‘Geometric New York/Fukuoka,’ celebrates the theme of geometry. This exhibition features a captivating collection of photographs that authentically depict the streets of Fukuoka and New York, focusing on the interplay of shapes and lines. Hall’s distinctive approach interprets these geometric elements as metaphors for societal structures, and the stark contrasts of black and white in his works symbolize the delicate balance between positivity and negativity.
