This film festival was established with the goal of providing a platform for domestic and international filmmakers to showcase their work, exchange ideas, and foster talent. On August 31, as part of “FIDFF2024 ZERO Day,” the event will take place at Cine-La in Momochi, featuring four films selected from the Kaohsiung Film Festival in Taiwan (including three Japan premieres) as well as a special screening of experimental films by FMF (Film Makers Field), a Fukuoka-based group known for their avant-garde work.
Starting September 6, the Fukuoka Art Museum’s Museum Hall will host the screening of 23 nominated films, selected from a record number of submissions, all competing for the Grand Prix, which will be announced on September 7.
