The cultural facility donated to Kurume City, the hometown of Bridgestone’s founder, Shojiro Ishibashi, is a well-known haven for flower enthusiasts, particularly rose aficionados. During the rose season in spring, the garden showcases a stunning variety of 400 rose species, amounting to 2,600 plants. This year, the garden introduces the rare “Cameo” variety, celebrated for its sweet fragrance. The garden is a rose lover’s dream, featuring rose-flavored soft serve, parfaits, and rose-themed bento boxes, along with sales of about 80 varieties of rose saplings. On May 10-12 and the 18th and 19th, the rose garden will be illuminated, enhancing the beauty of the blooms under the evening sky.
