June Grand Kabuki at Hakataza
~

Hakataza’s annual June kabuki performances return, featuring the Nakamura brothers, Kankuro and Shichinosuke, in starring roles for the first time in seven years. The daytime program presents a new kabuki production, Fukukanau Kami no Koibanashi, while the evening program features the Hakataza debut of the popular ghost story Kaidan Chibusa no Enoki, showcasing Kankuro’s quick role changes in three parts.
Performances are divided into two sessions: the daytime program starts at 11:00 (with two intermissions), and the evening program begins at 16:00 (also with two intermissions). A limited number of single-act tickets (hitomakumi ken) are available for those who wish to watch just one act—only 16 seats on the third floor are offered each day. Tickets are sold at the Hakataza box office from 10:00 on the day of the performance, with prices varying depending on the act.
