An event celebrating Karatsu ware under the theme “Connecting Food and Tableware.” Set across the historic castle town of Karatsu, it brings together 46 kilns and 53 ceramic artists, with exhibitions and sales held throughout the city.
During the event, visitors can encounter works while touring galleries and pop-up spaces in vacant shops, alongside collaborations with popular restaurants. Highlights include a themed exhibition at the Former Karatsu Bank and special menus served on Karatsu ware at local eateries, offering a chance to enjoy the vessels together with the food.
All venues are within walking distance of JR Karatsu Station, making it ideal for exploring on foot. On Apr 29, the Spring Grand Festival will also take place, with 14 hikiyama floats lined up in front of Karatsu Shrine, adding to the lively atmosphere.
