Kenji Ishikawa Moonlight Photography Exhibition “Moonlight Bath: In the Evening of a Moonlit Night”
~
Moonlight photographer Kenji Ishikawa, known for his photobook Moonlight Blue , photographs nocturnal landscapes using only the light of the full moon. For his latest work, Ishikawa turns his lens on the Itoshima Peninsula, alongside newly photographed scenes capturing Japan’s four seasons from Hokkaido to Okinawa.
Under moonlight, familiar landscapes take on colors and contours unseen during the day, quietly transforming seas, mountains and surrounding scenery. The exhibition offers a new perspective on Itoshima after dark while tracing the distinctive world of moonlight photography that Ishikawa has explored over many years.
