Koishiwara pottery comes from Toho-mura in Asakura, Fukuoka Prefecture and boasts of a 350-year-old history. Using the same traditional techniques, modern-day Koishiwara pottery are also designed into tableware for everyday use. A total of 600 items will be on display including summer-themed tableware (Jul. 18 to 22) and flower-themed tableware (Jul. 23 to 29). Go twice for pieces that might catch your eye! Join workshops on pottery making and ceramic painting, too. (Pieces can be sent to participants after glaze firing via cash on delivery. Japan addresses only.)
